I.  AUDITIONS

     District 7 All Youth Honor Band is open to 6th & 7th grade band students.

(intersection of Cardinal Dr. & Menard St.)

Thibodaux, LA

Registration is in the Cafeteria, Warm-ups are in the Gym

Driving Directions:

Go to Thibodaux. Proceed on Canal Blvd. Turn RIGHT on to 5th Street.

(5th Street is one red light past the big Catholic Church)

5th Street will become Menard Street.

Proceed to St. Joseph’s School.

Registration Time:

8 A.M. -  Plan on arriving by 7:30 A.M. at the latest.

About the

Audition Music

There are two (2) sets of music.

Set 1 is for the odd numbered years, i.e., Dec. 2007

Set 2 is for the even numbered years

This way no 6th or 7th grader will be able to use the same music for their tryouts.

There are three (3) parts to each set:

Part 1 is scales and rudiments.

Part 2 is the prepared piece (song).

Part 3 is a brief sight reading piece.

     except soprano clarinets and percussion sources, which are listed below.
