The musical selection is a MIDI file by the famous composer Johann Sebastian Bach. The selection is entitled Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme, the famous Christian hymn which translates to “wake, arise, the Spirit calls us”. This selection is for the pipe organ, the king of instruments . Think of the full band as a large church organ with many tall and small pipes with lots of air flowing through the organ pipes. In band we need lots of air to play effectively. Take large breaths every four measures or as the music allows.
This file and many others can be acquired by joining ClassicalArchives.com. There is an annual membership fee.
