“Honoring Our Nation’s Most Respected Teachers”

 

During the 2006 summer I received a wonderful award from the prestigious Who’s Who Among America's Teachers. This award is unlike some recognition programs where the selection process may be influenced by politics. All of the students listed in The National Dean’s List^®, The Chancellor’s List^®, Who’s Who Among American High School Student’s^®, and Who’s Who Among American High School Student’s - Sports Edition ^®, publications that honor our nation’s top graduate students, college students, and high school students, respectively, are given the opportunity to nominate teachers who have been the most influential during their academic career. These honor students have the opportunity to honor the teachers who have significantly impacted their lives. Once nominated teachers must pass the organization’s screening process.

 

I have to say that of all of the awards that I have received this one means a lot to me. This is another validation of the superior instrumental music education programs that I have presented over the years. To all of the honor students that nominated me, I am grateful and humbled by your words. This was a wonderful surprise to receive in the mail.
